The app is silent

Casaluz Kids speaks using recordings bundled inside it, so it should work with the volume up and the ringer switch off silent. If a word is silent, check the device volume and that Casaluz Kids is not muted in your sound settings.

Is it really Mexican Spanish?

Yes — deliberately. Carro, not coche. Jitomate, not tomate. Papa, not patata. Chamarra, not chaqueta. If your family speaks a different variety, some words will differ, and that is worth telling your child.

Why aren't the letters in alphabetical order?

Because Spanish isn't taught that way. The vowels come first, then M, P, S, L and T — with those a child can read mamá. Alphabetical order would put M thirteenth and delay real reading by months.

My child taps the wrong picture a lot

Try turning off the higher bands in the grown-ups area. Younger children do better with fewer question types and shorter turns — you can set a turn to four questions instead of eight.
