Casaluz collects nothing.

Casaluz does not collect, transmit or store any personal information. There is no account, there is no server, and the app contains no analytics, advertising or tracking software.

What stays on the device

If you enter your child's first name, their age, and how much Spanish they hear at home, those answers are saved in the app's own storage on that device so the lessons can use them. Their progress — which words they have met, which lessons they have finished, how many stars they have — is stored the same way.

None of it ever leaves the phone. It is not sent to us, backed up to a server of ours, or shared with anyone. Deleting the app deletes all of it.

• No advertising, and no advertising identifiers.
• No third-party SDKs that transmit data. The only request the app ever makes is for a letter video, to our own server.
• No location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera access.
• No sale or sharing of personal information, because none is collected.

What the app does over the network

Exactly one thing. The 28 alphabet films are too large to ship inside the app, so when you open a letter it offers to download that one video — about 11 MB from our own video host at vid.fiskllc.com. That request carries nothing identifying beyond what any web request necessarily carries: an IP address and the file being asked for. It reaches a server we control, not a third party, and it is never used to build a profile, set a cookie or identify a device.

After the download completes, that letter plays from your phone and needs no connection again. Everything else is already inside the app — all 717 words, every illustration, all 3,955 audio clips, the games and the lessons are on your device from the moment you install it, and the app makes no other request of any kind.

What works offline, and the one thing that does not

Every illustration and every recording is included inside the app, so the words, the games and the lessons all work with no connection at all.

The one exception is the letter videos. The 28 alphabet films are too large to ship inside the app, so they are streamed from our own server at vid.fiskllc.com when you play one. That request carries what any web request carries — your device's IP address and the file requested — and it reaches a server we control, not a third party. We do not use it to build a profile, set cookies, or identify a device, and nothing about your child, their name or their progress is included in it. Every other part of the app works with the network switched off.

Children

Casaluz is designed for children from about two to six years old, used alongside a parent or carer. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, there is nothing for us to disclose, delete or restrict under COPPA, the GDPR, the UK Children's Code or similar laws. If you believe otherwise, write to us and we will look into it immediately.

Purchases

If Casaluz offers a paid version, the purchase is handled entirely by Apple or Google. We receive the aggregate sales reports those stores provide and never see your payment details.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date. A change that would involve collecting any data at all would be announced in the app first.
